CytoSport Muscle Milk Reviews
Muscle Milk, it’s a catchy name right, but does it work? All the professional athletes in the world endorsing a supplement are no reason to run out right now or jump online and buy it. Muscle Milk is a protein supplement that is supposed to help increase energy while helping people develop greater muscle to increase endurance, fat-burning and strength. Muscle Milk is marketed as a general protein supplement that is for more than just serious bodybuilder.
So how does Muscle Milk compare to other protein supplements? Of course that depends on what you want to take it for. If you are just looking to lose a few pounds, Muscle Milk isn’t likely a great option. Muscle Milk requires two servings per day and that means almost 1300 calories every day. You aren’t going to lose weight with that many extra calories. So be cautious, even with Muscle Milk marketed toward the average dieter, it really isn’t the best weight loss supplement.
Now can it help you build muscle like it also claims? And how does it compare to other protein supplements on the market? Well the answer isn’t great for both questions. Muscle Milk doesn’t include enough key proteins to truly help you build muscle effectively but can easily cause unwanted fat gain, and there are numerous whey protein products available that can and will deliver greater results.
Overall, Muscle Milk is an average protein supplement. It can be used to help increase energy levels but it isn’t an ideal protein supplement. There are several better protein options to purchase on the market for much better results.

Great for adding Muscle
4.0 of 5.0

I've been using Muscle Milk for the past couple years off and on. I've found that when I use it immediately following my workout I notice a much more rapid improvement. Growing up I was always a very skinny kid, but after I started using Muscle Milk I was able to put on 20 lbs of much needed weight and muscle. I would not recommend this to anyone who is trying to LOSE weight due to the high calorie content, but it seems to work great for adding muscle mass. However, if you do use MM on a regular basis, be sure that you are putting in the effort to exercise and burn those calories, otherwise the proteins will not be put to good use. I recommend the Cookies & Cream powder, it tastes like something I would drink anytime!

Ive been working out regularly for 8 months. I started taking MM about a month ago. In that month I've cut a full minute off my best mile. Im doing 40% more sit ups than before and rowing twice as far on the row machine. Ive lost 8 lbs and am starting to notice my abs for the first time in my life. You have to do the hard work for yourself but MM gives you the energy to push harder and longer than you would without it.

Of all the other proteins I've tried MM is the best tasting and gave the best results. If mixed in the right proportions it does indeed taste great. It knocks down the soreness level after a serious workout and is a great meal replacement. Ive tried whey proteins and they never really did much and tasted terrible. MM will only leave me feeling bloated if a chug 15 oz of milk and MM in 5 seconds. Best policy is to drink it like a soda...make it last about 10 minutes or so.

People with LACTOSE INTOLERANCE, BEWARE. Muscle milk is MISLABELED. It states it is "lactose free" and "contains no milk." Based on these LABELS I purchased it and gave it to my son, who is lactose intolerant. Within an hour he was in pain and when I looked at the ingredients, this product contains BOTH milk protein isolate AND whey - both are ingredients which contain lactose and CANNOT be digested correctly by people with lactose intolerance. I am really disappointed that the people at MUSCLE MILK weren't more careful with their labeling and I am want to let others know before their child suffers the way mine did, despite my efforts to give him a lactose free product. I tried contacting the company but they are closed right now, so will try again.

I tried Muscle Milk a few years back. The taste was good, but the powder caused a stimulative effect. I felt a little dizzy with it.

I think if the Vanilla Creme wasn't even good for me, I would still buy it. Both the ready-to-drink and the powder are extremely good, so it leaves me wondering if I'm drinking the same thing as the guys saying it's disgusting and full of lactose. FYI-It's lactose free. Being cheap and full of casein protein, it's a good thing to drink before you go to bed, cuz it keeps you in a muscle-repairing state while you sleep.

ive been working out consistently for a year now and have gone from benching 150 to 385 lbs...i weigh 220, this stuff is cheap, tastes great, mixes easily and has produced for me. it is the only supplement i take other than no explode. i have tried 5 other proteins and will never switch from this stuff..only drawback is the high cals and fat...HIGHLY RECCOMEND

I have been using Muscle Milk for about a year, during this time I developed heart palpitaions. Went to dr. they found nothing wrong. It finally occured to me it might be the muscle milk and I when I stopped using it, the palpitations stopped too. Then I waited about 3 weeks, no palipations then used it and they returned. I would not recommend anyone using this product.

In addition to the fact that this is the only protein mix I've tried that hasn't left me feeling somewhat bloated, it mixes very well and tastes great. Although I haven't been using it long enough to seriously consider the benefits it's had on my muscular and weightlifting progress, I used it as a meal replacement before my shift at work tonight, and I had very consistent energy.

For me liquid protiens are hard to get down.all liquid protiens taste horrible, all except chocolate muscle milk.chocolate muscle milk has a great taste to it and an even better taste if u make it with milk.I took muscle milk (chocolate) before and after everywork out for about a month and decided to not take it for 2 weeks just to see if i noticed any diffrence.did I ever see any diffrence.when i had stopped taking this product i didnt have energy like i had had while i wuz taking it.also tha muscle pains that come along with weight lifting were there everymorning after my workouts but while i was taking mm those pain were not there.mm had helped me with energy more reps while in the gym and recovery speed from my workouts. i think its a great product and i will continue using it.

I love it except, it contains sucralose. I contacted Cytosports about this and the next day I received a reply. They have Muscle Milk Naturals with all natural sweeteners. I'll be using this when I can get it. The other thing is it contains calcium as di-calcium phosphate. This should be calcium carbonate. The latter is much more bio-available and bio-accessible. I hope they change this as well. I use MM before and after workouts and it does deliver. If they improve it I'll probably use it even more. As with all supplements take the time to find out what's in it before using it. Sometimes what's on the bottle isn't what's in the bottle. With MM it appears they have a good product.

I have been using MM for over a year. I use the powder and prefer vanilla. The ready to drink stuff tastes nasty to me. I have tried some other protein powders but I did not like the taste as well and MM is the only one that does not give me gas since it is lactose free. I would recommend it.

I've used MM consistently for over a year now. I've tried other products occasionally and I must say MM beats all I've tried hands down for flavor. I've had good gains with other products as well but MM provides one of the most comprehensive blends available. It includes both whey and casein proteins so you don't have the hassle of drinking two different products at different times.

I bought several bottles to try and then learned that sucralose is one of the ingredents. I was very disappointed to learn this is the sweetener they use. After reading about sucralose in a medical journal, I threw all of the bottles in the trash.

BEST TASTING PROTEIN
5.0 of 5.0
29 Jan 2009 - Alex of California, USA
I tried most of the protein powders on the market: ESA, Optimum, BSN, Muscle Asylum, e.t.c. In my opinion all of them taste the same. Then I picked up a MuscleMilk (banana flavor), and after that I'm not going to switch to anything else for a while. This is the best tasting thing on the market. The only other protein that I could compare is Isopure, although that one is in different category due to 0 gramms of carbs. MuscleMilk mixes perfectly in my shaker bottle that I carry to gym with me. No complains. I would give it a 5+! We all have different tastes, and I know another reviewer gave this product a bad rating due to the taste. Try a small bottle ($4 at gnc) that's ready-to-drink, and judge for yourself.

Muscle milk is by far the best protein supplement Ive ever tried it taste good and works even better my only gripe is the consistency you have to use a blender or electric mixer cup because the shaker cups dont mix it very well

Ive tried many different flavors over the past year and i have to say that my personal favorites are peanut butter, and mint; very good. Ive noticed solid gains... 17yrs old 6'1" going from 176lbs to 199 currently. i mean i dont know why you wouldnt take this, or any similar product for that matter. it has a solid 34g protein which is more like 50g after mixing with like 2cups milk. very solid product.

Banana Cream Tastes AWFUL

I picked up some MM banana flavor at 24 HR Fitness in Phoenix, it was on sale so I thought I would give it a try. I have to say the banana flavored MM is the worst tasting supplement I have ever ingested! I tried to cut the flavor by mixing it with other protein powders but the flavor overwhelmed whatever I used. I don't make a lot of money to spend on supplements so it was tough but I had no choice but to empty it into the garbage. I didn't even use a quarter of the product.

I have taken Muscle Milk for two weeks. The shake taste fine gains are good. The only thing is that the lactose in it makes me throw up. So if your stomach is sestive to lactose don't use it, try cytogainer it is lactose free.

Muscle Milk = Staple Supplement

I have been using this product for, wow, almost two years. No matter what I am taking in my workout regiment, this will always be a staple in the stack. Whether I have been taking it to cut up or help pack on more lbs of mass, this has assisted my body just like I expected--with great results. I would recommend this product to beginners, pro's, anyone looking for a great before/after workout shake to help build & recover. All the pro's: it's cheap, it is the Best Tasting "Protein" Shake ever, it works, it is very easy on the stomach, you'll love to recommend it to a up-and-comer. Cons: The only con I can really think of is that you'll go through a bottle entirely to fast. I can only hope they come out with 10 lb bags like the Optimum Nutrition Whey. Final Verdict: Buy this product, you will not be dissapointed.

Torture in a bottle

This was the first protein drink I ever drank and I used the ready to drink version. After getting home from the gym I drank it and I wasn't even done before I got the worst sick feeling you could ever imagine and I've eaten half a carton of ice cream and that wasn't even 1/100th what this gave me. First off I drank the vanilla creme one and it was the most disgusting thing I ever drank. Right after drinking it I had to lay down but a little while later I actually had to put my finger down my throat and throw up three different times before I felt normal again.

I've tried muscle milk off and on for a couple of years. I keep going back to because of all the different flavors and all that ive tried taste great, however the results ive seen as well as felt have not been near as good as other proteins ive tried. So if its good taste your after then its the way to go but if your like me and your more into results then you should try something else. Try [] (its a lean protein with a great taste and ive expericenced great gains)
