Lipodrene is a “pharmaceutical grade” weight loss supplement that states it I 2% more effective than the prescription diet pill, Redux. Among the many boasts that Lipodrene makes about its creation and benefits is the claim that Lipodrene was engineered by over 120000 scientists and pharmacologists in the United States and that they specifically designed Lipodrene to target and burn fat from the hips, thighs, and buttocks. These areas are considered to be the areas that store dangerous fat, the fat that can lead to increased risk of heart disease, heart attack, strokes and diabetes. If Lipodrene can eliminate the fat from these areas then that would be an amazing find for those of use suffering such fat retention.
Lipodrene is composed of a proprietary blend. The label states that this is a Proprietary Blend with Thermo-Rx and Extend-Rx Technology 557.5mg. Generally proprietary blends are used to hide ingredients or ingredient amounts so we don’t appreciate them as a general rule. This blend consists of ephedra extract, 25mg, acacia Rigidula extract, Methylsynephrine (yielding 75mg, phenylethylamine, n-methyl-b-phenylethylamine alkaloids including: b-phenylethylamine, N-Methyl-B-phenylethylamine, and R-Beta-Methylethylamin) phenylethylamine HCL, 25mg, Synephrine HCL, Theobromine, Green Tea Extract (45mg ECGC), Hodia Extract (Cactus), Cassia Noname Extract (plant), Naringen (fruit), 6,7, Dihydroxybergamottin (fruit), 5-Methoxytryptamine HCL, L-5-Hydroxytryptophan, Yohimne HCL, and Caffiene (Anhydros).
A majority of these ingredients are widely used which makes them both popular and average. Our main concern is the fact that all of these ingredients are squeezed into a scant 557.5mg proprietary blend. For caffeine to be effective it must be used in 400mg or more. With all of the ingredients that Lipodrene is stuffing into that 557.5mg we think it is safe to assume that nothing is utilized in the proper amounts. We suggest finding a product that does not hide behind a proprietary blend and that has some clinical documentation to back up its claims. We do not recommend Lipodrene for purchase or use at this time.
