Optislim Meal Replacement Shakes
Optislim, an Australian based company, now offers an extensive VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet) system they claim will help you lose weight no matter where you are in terms of your diet program. The makers of Optislim say their products contain all the essential daily vitamins and nutrients your body needs to get through the day. Can the Optislim Meal Replacement Shakes give you the promised bang for your buck, or will it leave you penniless and perturbed?
What are Optislim Meal Replacement Shakes?
Optislim VLCD products are available as soups, bars and, of course, meal replacement shakes. Each product contains around 200 calories. The meal replacement shakes are available in three flavors: chocolate, the customer favorite, espresso coffee and vanilla.
The Optislim Program
The Optislim VLCD Program is easy and uncomplicated. It is divided into 3 separate stages or levels, based on the amount of weight you want to lose and how quickly you want to lose it.
In Stage 1 the program is accelerated. This is for the people who want to lose a lot of weight, quickly. In this stage, you will take two to three VLCD Meal Replacement products each day for accelerated weight loss.
Stage 2 is for rapid weight loss. Anyone can jump in at this stage. It offers continued weight loss, however the pace will slow a little because during this stage you are adding in a full, well-balanced meal in addition to the VLCD Meal Replacement product.
The final stage of the program, stage 3 is for those who have already lost their desired weight and want to continue to maintain that weight. Only one VLCD product per day is used at this stage and it should be coupled with a healthy diet and exercise program for balanced weight loss.
This company makes a lot of claims that it doesn’t offer any proof to support. Optislim claims that in each of their VLCD products is found 25 essential daily vitamins and nutrients to support healthy weight loss. However, there are no ingredients anywhere to be found that can verify these claims.
In addition, there are no clinical or scientific studies, as far as we’ve found, to back up any of their additional claims.
VLCD products also contain no fiber, and therefore in order to really get what your body needs each day you must purchase an additional fiber supplement.
Stay away from this product. It is overpriced and offers no proof of any of its claims. Additionally, the company is based out of the United States and products are only sold to customers in Australia and the UK. This product is simply not worth the trouble.
