OxyElite Pro Super Thermo Powder is the latest product from USPlabs. It’s modeled after the well-known diet supplement OxyElite Pro Super Thermo, which has received tons of positive feedback over the years.

Hoping to achieve the same success with a tasty powder, USPlabs loaded OxyElite Pro Super Thermo Powder “with exciting thermo compounds.”

Although USPlabs has a good reputation, this wasn’t enough to sway my decision. Before buying OxyElite Pro Super Thermo Powder, I wanted to know if the formula is safe and effective.

The Proprietary Blends

USPlabs formulated OxyElite Pro Super Thermo Powder with 2 proprietary blends: ExerciseStim Matrix and OTCN2 Carnitine Transport System. The individual amounts in these blends are not shown (except for caffeine), just the total dosage for both blends, which is 1058.5 mg.

USPlabs hasn’t released much product information yet. Usually, their products come with detailed description about all the ingredients, but not OxyElite Pro Super Thermo Powder.

This being the case, I don’t know why some ingredients were used or what they are supposed to do. Several barely have any information and research online. Here’s what I was able to find…

ExerciseStim Matrix

These ingredients are meant to burn fat, elevate energy, heighten focus, and increase athletic performance.

Choline Bitartrate – Choline promotes brain function, cell maintenance, and metabolism. The supplemental form is choline bitartrate. Research does not prove it causes fat or weight loss.

Caffeine Anhydrous (125 mg) – Thermogenesis breaks down fat cells, burns fat, and increases body heat. In a clinical study, caffeine anhydrous was shown to boost thermogenesis as much as 11%.[1]

Aegeline – When gastric acid fills the stomach, hunger levels shoot up. Aegeline supposedly decreases gastric acid and suppresses hunger. Some sources also say it burns fat by activating beta-3 receptors. But there is not enough evidence to support either claim.

Norcoclaurine HCI – Another name for it is higenamine. It claims to burn fat and enhance physical performance, but research is lacking. In fact, the only study I found shows norcoclaurine HCI reduces breathing difficulty.[2]

Yohimbe Extract – Yohimbine is the active substance in yohimbe. Some studies show it burns fat, increases energy, and heightens libido, but the benefits may not outweigh the risks.[3][4] According to WebMD.com, yohimbe may cause rapid heartbeat, nausea, vomiting, rashes, insomnia, kidney failure, heart attacks, and even death.[5]

OTCN2 Carnitine Transport System

In a recent press release, USPlabs called carnitine one of the most effective nutrients for fat loss. However, carnitine has poor bioavailability, so OxyElite Pro Super Thermo Powder uses ingredients to improve the bioavailability.

L-Carnitine-Tartrate – The reason people believe L-carnitine-tartrate promotes fat loss is because it converts fat into energy. Although it has been tested several times, researchers have not proven it reduces body fat.[6] One study did show however, that it enhances nutrient delivery.[7]

(Z)-N-(2-hydroxyethyl)octadec-9-enamide – Very little information is available on this ingredient. Supposedly, it burns fat, but there are no supporting studies.

Eriobotrya Japonica – It’s a fruit full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. I couldn’t find any studies exploring eriobotrya japonica’s effect on weight loss or exercise performance.

How to Use It

The recommended daily dosage is 1-2 scoops. You can take 3 scoops a day, but do not take more. Most users will get enough power from 1-2 scoops.

Since OxyElite Pro Super Thermo Powder is powerful, do not take 2-3 scoops right away. Start with 1 scoop, assess your tolerance, and gradually increase to the desired dosage.

For every scoop, use 4-6 oz. water. The best times to take the supplement are 15-30 minutes before breakfast and exercise.

Do not combine OxyElite Pro Super Thermo Powder with caffeine; including coffee, tea, soda, or other supplements. Do not use it if you are overheated, sleep deprived, or dehydration.

Only healthy adults over age 18 should use this product. If you have high or low blood pressure, or diabetes talk to a doctor before supplementing.

What Are People Saying About It?

Over the next several months, ratings and reviews should start rolling in. But so far, only 6 users have left feedback for OxyElite Pro Super Thermo Powder.

On GNC.com, 3 users left reviews and 5-star ratings. Each one had good things to say about the ingredients, the taste, the results, and the value.

One user gave a 5-star rating on NutraPlanet.com. He said the powder tastes great, mixes well, and boosts energy.

There are two 5-star reviews on Amazon.com, but one user wrote his review about the OxyElite Pro Super Thermo pills. The other reviewer said OxyElite Pro Super Thermo Powder has a mediocre taste and kicks in fast.

Several users seem to think OxyElite Pro Super Thermo Powder is OxyElite Pro Super Thermo, but in powder-form. However, these products are not very similar at all because the only ingredients they share are caffeine and yohimbe.

Who Has the Best Price?

Retailers are eager to sell USPlabs’ products, so you’ll have no difficulty finding a place to buy OxyElite Pro Super Thermo Powder. The trick is to find the best price. I compared more than a dozen sites and found the lowest prices here:

NutraPlanet.com
• $27.49 per bottle
• Shipping costs $6.95
• Returns must be reported within 24 hours

eSupplements.com
• $29.51 per bottle
• Shipping costs $4.95
• Call customer service for return details

Supplementing.com
• $33.99 per bottle
• Shipping costs $4.95
• 90-day return policy for unopened bottles

The Bottom Line

USPlabs has a reputation for making popular products, but also for using dangerous ingredients. The most notable example was DMAA — a synthetic, potentially-fatal stimulant.

OxyElite Pro Super Thermo Powder doesn’t have DMAA (OxyElite Pro Super Thermo does), but it has yohimbe, which is also a potentially-fatal stimulant.

I’m not sure if the other ingredients are safe or not because there is very little information or research. OxyElite Pro Super Thermo Powder has a couple ingredients proven to burn fat, but I don’t know if safe, effective dosages are used.

I don’t recommend buying OxyElite Pro Super Thermo Powder because you could easily find a safer, more effective weight loss supplement.
