1-NO is an exciting new generation approach to amino acid based, nitric oxide promotion products. 1-NO combines arginine and alpha- ketoglutarate (AKG) with ornithine alpha-ketoglutarate (OKG). The addition of OKG augments the NO stimulatory action of AKG by providing a secondary route to plasma arginine elevation. OKG goes beyond AKG however as it also raises plasma levels of plasma glutamine, polyamines, growth hormone and insulin. These elevations result in a powerful anti-catabolic action which is the reason OKG is widely used in medicine after traumatic injury to prevent muscle wasting. 1-NO also contains L-Histidine and beta-alanine. L-Histidine is an amino acid which, like arginine, has been shown to be a potent substrate for Nitric Oxide Synthase. Along with the L-Histidine, 1-NO contains beta-alanine. Beta-alanine combines in the body with L-histidine to form carnosine, which is stored in the muscle and acts as a protectant for the L-histidine preventing it from quick metabolic deactivation. In essence, 1-NO contains not only one, but TWO amino acid, nitric oxide stimulators. The result is a vast improvement over older arginine-only based NO products. 1-NO comes in great-tasting, chewable tablets, providing very fast absorption and action - making 1-NO an excellent pre-workout supplement.

I've been using this product for about a month now right before going to the gym. Seems to work pretty well as I can visably see my veins start to stick out before I pick up a single weight. Once you get to the 2-3 set they're huge. I bought mine on sale so it was fairly cheap as far as NOx products go. The biggest drawback is the taste. The tablets are to be chewed and the taste is about what you could imagine chewing a tablet of Airborne is like(you know that stuff thats supposed to keep you from getting sick). I can handle it, some of my friends can't.
