Great stuff

10 Nov 2009 - Garret of Texas, USA writes:

I have tried many many many products over the years and for the most part i never got what i paid for. The first "stack" i ever did is the only thing i can really vouch for. It worked great, i got faster, much stronger, and gained solid muscle. I am now doing that same ingredient stack i first tried years ago again because i figure, go with what you know. Im taking, GNC amplified Creatine 189, Amino Acids, L-Glutamine, and wheybolic extreme protein powder. Started this about a month and a half ago and the gains have been awesome.

I like it.

9 Nov 2009 - Argo of Texas, USA writes:

My friend works for GNC and got me to try a bottle of this. I was already loaded from another form of creatine, so I really didn't notice any gains...but as I haven't experienced any losses, it seems to be working atleast as well as my previous product, yet is easier to take. And to the guy that said "This product is obviously one of GNCs high commission products so of course they will try to sell you on it. I happily returned this product and exchanged it for Cell Tech." It's funny that that fact is so 'obvious' on account of the fact that it's not at all true. GNC sales staff actually don't get commission on GNC items. Third party companies actually pay GNC to sell their products, and so GNC employees get paid commission to sell non-gnc products. Iovate pays the most, and Iovate owns Muscletech...so that Cell Tech that you purchases actually probably made somebody's paycheck a little happier. The reason that employee didn't try to sell you Cell Tech from the get-go is probably because he/she actually believed that you'd benefit more from *not* drowning yourself in sugar and ruining your pancreas.

It works... Not like high doses of powder

7 Nov 2009 - Gene of California, USA writes:

I read all the pros and cons about 189. I am 62 years old and wanted to push the envelope a little. Years ago, I gulped powder for months and made big gains. Drank alot of water, sweat like crazy and workout hard. However I felt that my anger and depression rose. After 10 years of layoff, gaining way too much weight, 2 years ago I started back on the quest to be fit as I could be at 60. I stayed away from any creatine for the first year, due to the emotional feelings I had on it years ago. I examined the 189 over and over again. Read the pros and cons.... I decided to go for it, but measure what was going on. For the first 30 days, I felt I was pushing more, which I couldn't say it was the 189 or the combination of pre and post work out protein with vitamins, aminos, glutamine and arginine. But over the last few months, it is clear something is working very well. My endurance is great, my Metabolism is high, sweat factor.. off scale and strength levels I had a 40. I do work out 5 days a week and active on weekends. I dropped using the 189 when I ran out a month ago. Within two weeks I could tell a difference. How much difference? Not that much. The real deal is that I do know my muscles are tighter on creatine and can understand the water fill concept. Does it make a significant difference? Probably not to the level people wish it would. Is it worth the money? If you live pay check to pay check, I think you can find something better for sure. However, I feel that the moderate effects and consistancy in time and dose works for me. If you are looking for immediate slam bang results, you need to use your own energy and time coupled with proper diet. The creatine whether in powder or 189 can help, only if you help yourself. I may be flushing my money down the toilet as others have posted, but I don't think so. I believe it works to some extent, just not as advertised. But how many products do what is advertised? Agrinine is another long time, old school supplement that works great too when you are consistant in taking it and pushing yourself for results. That is my thought.... If you want the big bang, don't buy 189.... It is for old sly guys that is looking for a little aid and are consistant that want to sneak up on 30 year boys and maybe not out do them, but sure put the hurt on them!

Amplified Creatine 189

10 Oct 2009 - Braxton of Illinois, USA writes:

I have been lifting competitively now for about five years I can easily say that this product has been one of the biggest dissapointments. After all the good things I have heard about it, I have experienced non of those claims personally. The pill passes whole right through my system, not even dissolved. I have tried multiple creatine supplements and this has definately been one of the worst.

Unhappy, product not recommended.

11 Aug 2009 - Chris of Connecticut, USA writes:

I'm 24, active and athletic, and my 4-5 day a week workout consists of a variety of exorcises including running, swimming, weight-lifting, and calisthenics. I regularly use a high-quality protein and maintain a balanced diet. Working out is my hobby and a great stress relief. After about a week of using GNC's Pro Performance Amplified Creatine 189, I feel nothing but an upset stomach. I have used and cycled creatine powders with some great results, but this is the first time I've used a pill form. My body does nothing but pass the ridiculously large, disgusting tasting pill. That's right, the whole pill comes out in the toilet. I'm literally throwing money in the toilet. Personally, I feel most of GNC brand products are of somewhat inferior quality, and Amplified Creatine 189 has simply confirmed my feelings towards their products. I suppose crushing the pill would aid in absorbing the pill, but the fact that my body didn't absorb -any- of the pill is a red flag to me, saying "this should not be in my body!." Creatine is pretty much the closest thing to a miracle in a bottle, but Amplified Creatine 189 is, so far, the most useless creatine I have used. Back to the drawing board, GNC.

Stick with powder.

22 Jul 2009 - Wes of Pennsylvania, USA writes:

I've been using this product for over a month now, and the only thing that is consistant is the capsules showing up in the toilet. Sure, the guy at GNC praised the product saying it is the best creatine on the market right now. But I ask, how can something help you if your body isn't digesting it for use? This product is obviously one of GNCs high commission products so of course they will try to sell you on it. I happily returned this product and exchanged it for Cell Tech.

Creatine 189

21 Jul 2009 - Drew of Florida, USA writes:

I tried Creatine 189 and was consistantly on it for 2 months. When I was taking it I gained muscle and my bench press went up significantly quicker than normal. However when I stopped taking it I realized it was making me think different then I normally would. It seemed like I couldn't proccess my thoughts clearly. Also after stopping it about half the strength and bulk I gained from using it was lost. I would not recommend this product.

This stuff works!!

4 Mar 2009 - Chris of Oregon, USA writes:

I had recently started taking creatine 189 in the middle of january where I was 5'8 145 lbs. And it is now the begining of march and I now way 156lbs. I am happy with the gain but i have also been taking muscle milk to help as well. I am in off season for soccer and i am currently in my track season. And i have seen lots of improvement in my fast twitch muscles with this product along with my training. The only side effect i have with this product is that my methane levels are a lot higher than usual. All in all I feel like this product is very good and well used.

Loving It

5 Jan 2009 - Jamie of Maine, USA writes:

I have been on Amplied Creatine 189 for about 5 weeks now. I am 41 and am on Creatine for the first time since taking Creatine Mon... back in 1997. Without hesitation, this is working with great results. I am 5-8 175 pounds and back to benching 300 pounds. I was benching 300 at 22 years of age and in my early 30's only to not be able to as I approached late 30's and now 40's. I am gaining size, strength and muscle (some weight gain) mostly due to my appetite increasing with extra energy/resulting in more working out resulting in greater hunger) but the good weight. The original creatine Monon... from the 90's made me bloated and though I was benching 300 lbs on it, I was "off of it too" and found it to be overrated. So for me personally this works (and is easy to take I just take the 2 pills every morning without fail. Good luck

Capsules do not dissolve

5 Jan 2009 - Joe of Ohio, USA writes:

I had the same experience with the capsules not dissolving/digesting. Breaking up the pills defeats the purpose of having the convenience of capsules and not having to mix powder. I was very unhappy with this product.

i think its great

4 Jan 2009 - angelo of Oklahoma, USA writes:

ive been using this product all summer and i have to say that it might depend on your body if its gona work or not. i have seen significant improvement with this amp creatine. the claim that was made on the box was exactly what i experienced. i started goin to the gym and was leg pressing 200lbs then used the amp creatine 189 and within a few weeks i was at 400lbs. so i like doubled my strength. i would advice to not take more of it to try and boost the effects cause you will get water retention, but i would definetly recommend this product.

Awful.

24 Dec 2008 - Ryan of California, USA writes:

I purchased this at [] under the guise that it was far superior to any creatine currently on the market. The biggest problem with these creatine pills is that they DO NOT DIGEST. The show up in the toilet days later. I finally began removing the pill casing to make sure they would digest, but even after taking a full bottle I noticed no difference at all. Try a product like cellmass, it's much better.

Bad Product

14 Dec 2008 - carlos of Florida, USA writes:

Oftentimes the pills will not digest and you can see them in your toilet. You can break them up to fix this. But...If you have any body fat the creating hydrocloride 'being fat soluble' will cause you to retain water. Thus making you look bloated. This is by far the worst product I have ever seen. The only reason it is on the market is because the employees get more of a commision from selling this than most products.

Amplified Creatine 189

2 Dec 2008 - John of Florida, USA writes:

I 51 years old and purchased 2 bottles (4 months worth) from GNC under a great sales pitch from the store manager. I am through 3 months and have noticed no significant gains. I am looking for a better product preferably in pill form. I work out 3 times per week.
