Universal Nutrition Shock Therapy
Shock Therapy Reviews
Shock Therapy claims to be the “pre-workout shake that will help power you up for the gym and make you feel like hitting the plates.” Shock Therapy contains nitric oxide activators, creatine and stimulants all that work to give you the boosted energy levels needed to give you a more vascular appearance and to pump up your size. Shock Therapy states that they are a cut above the rest because they also include an antioxidant complex which they refer to as “essential when taking nitric oxide stimulating ingredients, due to their oxidative nature on human cells.” All of these elements work together to give you the “perpetual pump” and the “intense workout you crave.” Shock Therapy is produced and sold by Universal Nutrition.
Shock Therapy consists of five different complexes all engineered to address the specific needs of the muscles and tissues that you utilize when lifting. The first complex is called the NO Super Pump Complex and contains arginine AKG, citrulline malate, and l-carnosine. The second is the Muscle Volumizing Complex and it contains tricreatine matrix, betaine anhydrous, beta alanine, and NAD. The third is called the Energy and Nootropic Complex which is made up of l-taurine, choline bitartrate, s-methylxanthine complex, l-tyrosine, yerba mate, evodiamine, and vinpocetine. The fourth is the Antioxidant Complex which contains green tea extract, R-ALA, and grapeseed extract. And finally there is the Electrolyte and PH Delivery Complex which consists of inulin, sodium bicarbonate, potassium phosphate, magnesium phosphate, and trisodium phosphate.
Overall we aren’t too impressed with Shock Therapy. More than half of the consumer reviews we have come across have been negative and the ones that were positive seemed like they were planted by the company. Without any scientific data to support Shock Therapy’s claims the only real proof we have to work with is a lackluster ingredient list that doesn’t give us any portion amounts and the words of previous users. We do not feel comfortable recommending the purchase or use of Shock Therapy at this time.

It’s cheap, lasts long, tastes decent, and works better than most pre-workout supps. Most people don’t value the “therapy” component in this supplement which is the antioxidant complex of grape seed extract, NAC, green tea extract (60%) and the rest of this area. This is the only ore workout which has this (i think), and it is VERY IMPORTANT in pre-workouts due to their already oxidated stress which N.O. brings to the body cells(many people dont realize this). The complex also helps with immune support, mental health, and infection. This attracted me to the supplement, and i’m glad it gives me a good feeling along with the “therapy” concept which Universal was trying to get at. I have tried about 12 pre-workouts. This is definitely one of the top three. Every one is different for a certain person. Therefore, some preworkouts are better than others. I recommend trying it before sticking with the one you are currently on.
