Isopure Aminios is a BCAA supplement designed to offer optimal ratios of l-leucine,l-valine, and l-isoleucine to support workout performance and recovery.

Many BCAA supplements already available, so I wanted to take a look at Isopure Aminos to see if it offered anything unique and special to make it stand out from the rest.

Here’s a look at everything there is to know about Isopure Aminos.

The Ingredient Profile

Isopure Aminos features a 5 g BCAA Blend of a 2:1:1 micronized blend of l-leucine, l-isoleucine, and l-valine.

Branched-chain amino acids are supplemented with to expedite the recovery process post-workout. Leucine in particular has been studied for its ability to benefit muscle protein synthesis. [1]

Additionally, Isopure Aminos offers a tart cherry extract (700 mg) of CherryPure. Cherry juice is an interesting addition in Isopure Aminos because it is used to help alleviate and reduce muscle pain. [2]

Isopure Aminos tops off its formula with l-theanine (100 mg). This compound is used to improve cognition and focus. It is often referred to as a nootropic.

Several other competing BCAA supplements provide just BCAAs, while others provide BCAAs and energy.

Isopure Aminos takes a unique approach to branched-chain amino acid supplementation and supports mood/focus, and additional recovery aspects.

Use and Effects

Isopure Aminos can be supplemented with at any time of the day, including before, during, and after workouts.

To use Isopure Aminos, mix one scoop with about 10 ounces of water in either a shaker bottle or a blender.

Because there aren’t any stimulants in Isopure Aminos, you may decide to take 2 scoops depending on your workouts and what post-workout recovery dictates.

I supplemented with Isopure Aminos for a couple days during my workouts. I also supplement with protein every day. Consequently, my muscle soreness, while it still occurs, is definitely attenuated.

Flavors and Price

Isopure Aminos comes in 3 different flavors: Cranberry Grape, Cherry Lime, and Alpine Punch. These flavor names are quite unique. I tried the Cranberry Grape flavor.

It was a pretty good taste. It definitely tasted like a combination of the two fruits, with a very mild, bitter taste that is common with cranberry flavors.

It mixed well in 10 ounces of water. I mixed a scoop in my shaker bottle and drank it during my workouts. There wasn’t any major clumping or settling. I did shake my cup occasionally throughout my workout.
